Greetings! NIYAH is pleased to announce our call for entries to the 2011 Beautifully Wrapped Photography Competition. Call is open to all photographers, amateur and professional worldwide.
In an age where beauty for women is often equated to the size of your hips and the shortness of your skirt, the Beautifully Wrapped Project - featuring portraits of women who cover their hair for religious of cultural reasons - effectively redefines the notion of beauty.

This limited-edition, one-of-a-kind calendar pays homage to the art and culture of headwrapping. Filled with beautiful photography of women who adorn their heads with various styles of wraps we redefine the notion of beauty.
For a good cause: All Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go to support 10,000 Girls, an education and self-sufficiency program for girls in Senegal. Niyah Publishing is a creative living company that supports a number of small development projects around the world. Rather than conducting another regular fundraiser, we decided to do what we do best and publish a high quality, limited edition product in order to support the education of girls worldwide.
